William Shakespeare's Biography

William Shakespeare was born on the 23rd of April 1564 and baptised on the 26th. He lived for the most of his life and born in Stratford-upon-Avon (1564–1616). Unfortunately he also died on the 23rd of April 1616. He lived up to the age of 52.

 

William Shakespeare was third of seven children only five survived childhood. He had three brothers by the names of: Edmund, Gilbert and Richard Shakespeare. He had three sisters by the names of: Joan, Margaret and Anne Shakespeare. His Father and Mother were named: John and Mary. 

 

William Shakespeare started his education at the age of around seven at the Stratford grammar school. He later studied grammar, literture and latin in King's new school, but never went to university.

 

Shakespeare’s family home in Stratford was called New Place. The house stood on the corner of Chapel Street and Chapel Lane, and was apparently the second largest house in the town.

 

At the age of 18 William Shakespeare married 26-year-old Anne Hathaway. They had three children, one boy and two daughter, by the names of: Hamnet, Judith and Susannna.

 

Shakespeare's surviving works consist of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems embedded into the plays themselves.

 

Shakespeare started writting his poems and plays at 1589. He wrote the famous Macbeth, Midsummer nights dream, Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet. He was considered the best of all time.

 

These are some of Shakespeare's famous quotes: 'Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none'. 'We know what we are, but know not what we may be'. 'To be or not to be'. 'It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves'. 'Better three hours too soon than a minute too late'. 'Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them'.

 

William Shakespeare won no awards in his time mostly because of there went many awards. But his plays were more reconised now and has won many awards. People also win awards by writing plays that William wrote.
